The spring It brings the perfume of flowers and the warmth of the sun, but for many it also brings romance. In spring, sexual relations increase since this season favors the secretion of pheromonesoxytocin, dopamine and norepinephrine, several of the hormones that participate in sexual attraction and positively influence mood, charging us with vitality.
It is also true that the possibility of doing sports outdoors helps keep the levels of sexual hormones in order, and that the environment also helps: visual stimuli abound. And finally, the good weather improves moods and predisposes to social, sentimental and sexual relationships.
According to the records of the leading dating site in Latin America, Second Lovewith the arrival of spring the platform experiences a 20% growth in its number of users throughout the region. The desire to flirt and feel attractive motivates this increase that occurs in both men and women. That is why in addition to new users, the flower season generates an increase in connection from existing users, who spend a 35% more time online on the social network than during the rest of the year. At the same time, 62% of them confess that they have more confidence online in spring than in the rest of the year.
These are mostly people who are married or in a relationship, over 30 years old, professionals and with children, who do not usually go to bars or clubs and find extramarital dating a space where you can meet new people linked to your interests and close to your home, office or gym. They are reserved people who especially value confidentiality and who have no intention of separating from their partners, but instead seek to complement what they do not provide.
Matías Lamouret, spokesperson for Second Love for Latin America, explains the reasons: “It is true that the change of season comes with a change in routines, not only for singles. The good weather and mild afternoons invite many to return to the outing plans that are saved in the winter”, and added: “This stage of the year invites you to more outings after work and get-togethers with friendsand many times this impulse also leads to the search for other types of adventures.
