Coding a booming industry but women are lacking

How to get the scholarship
Coding Women Sicily is an initiative aimed at all women who want to become developers, live, work or return to Sicily. For those starting from scratch, Edgemony recommends a free mini preparation course to enter the selection process. To start it, you will need to fill in a form and take an online test in which, in addition to telling your person and the motivation that drives you to apply, you will need to answer some logical questions and, if you also have some technical basics, basic HTML and CSS. The next step will be a video-conference interview with the Edgemony team to choose who will win the scholarships made available by the sponsoring companies..
How the coding training course works
In Edgemony’s coding bootcamp, teachers, tutors and mentors work alongside students for the entire duration of the course and, for those approaching programming for the first time, there is the possibility of receive free basic training to access the placement test with a minimum starting level.
The bootcamp tough approximately 4 months, the next edition will start at the beginning of Octoberwith theoretical and practical lessons, from Monday to Friday, from 9.30 to 12.30 and from 15 to 18. The start is up to the programming languages HTML, CSS And JavaScript to then get to deepen the library ReactJS.
