50 videos inform parents about drug use
Drug prevention officer Jurgen Verleyen is the basis of the new information channel of the city of Kortrijk for parents about experimenting with drugs in growing teenagers. “A lot of things happen in the bodies of young people. “Ensure that parents see behavior change”
The city’s website now contains 50 videos that cover all kinds of topics: from alcohol to cannabis to laughing gas. The main emphasis is on how parents can talk to their children. At partner AZ Groeninge they are already very satisfied with the result. “We are very enthusiastic about making these videos known to parents and educators. This way they can keep an eye on these teenagers and see that their behavior and attitude changes,” explains Stefaan Lammertyn, spokesperson for AZ Groeninge.
The campaign is an initiative of the city of Kortrijk, in collaboration with the VLAS police, the AZ Groeninge hospital and CAW South-West Flanders.
