50 Cent brought Eminem on stage at his show in Detroit on Sunday, September 17th. The rapper performed two songs with his surprise guest. For the track “Patiently Waiting,” Slim Shady appeared on stage, hidden under his hood. After celebrating the duet, they performed the 2009 song “Crack the Bottle” from Eminem’s record RELAPSE together.
As a surprise act, Eminem not only celebrated himself, but also set the mood for the host: “Detroit, make noise for one of my best friends, 50 Cent,” he animated. It continued with the words: “And also make some noise for the 50th anniversary of hip hop! Detroit, I love you all!”
50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis James Jackson III, later took the opportunity to thank his guest profusely via Instagram: “When I do something with EM, people go crazy because they know that he is is really my boy. I love him to death!”
