The mega Christmas tree is built on a platform on the waterfront. Employees of the company J. Glijnis BV bring the 38 trees, the peak and light cords to the Marseillepad, where the construction of the tree will start over a number of days. With a cherry picker, the staff can reach the top. As soon as the Christmas tree is ready, a small tugboat pulls the plateau towards the middle of the Dobbeplas.
