The government estimates that employers will have to pay a contribution of about 5 million euros because of an excessive number of employees who are on long-term sick leave. This money will be fully made available to the sectors in which these companies operate, so that they can take preventive measures. This decision was taken on Friday during the Council of Ministers, on the proposal of Minister of Work Pierre-Yves Dermagne (PS) and his colleague of Public Health Frank Vandenbroucke (Vooruit).
