5 cases of animal abuse in the cinema

Increasingly strong complaints about cases of animal abuse, such as the one recently registered against a dog groomer in Luján, are a sample of the growing sensitivity of these times regarding the care of other forms of non-human life. Part of the same phenomenon is the growing interest of many people to turn to vegetarianism, veganism or ecology, practices that promote a more respectful attitude towards animals. Also the Spanish filmmaker Pedro Almodovar He had a complaint for animal abuse in 2002, because of his movie “Talk to her.” On that occasion, environmental groups denounced the film director and his production company “El Deseo SA” for violating the Animal Protection Law, because in the film he had killed several bulls. Sources from the production company confirmed that, indeed, those bulls had been killed, but that for them they had contacted a bullfighting school and asked to film a student killing said bulls. “We follow all the steps with the law in hand,” they sentenced at that time from El Deseo.

A recent case occurred in 2012, when HBO canceled “Luck”the series with Dustin Hoffmann Y nick nolte set in the world of horse racing, after three of them died during filming. In addition, one of them had to be sacrificed due to injuries sustained during it.
