A 47-year-old Amsterdammer was seriously injured yesterday afternoon after a fall at a stunt attraction at the Zwarte Cross festival in Lichtenvoorde. He fell from ‘height’ and is in the hospital.
Police Gelderland said on Twitter that it was unable to provide an update this weekend about the cause of the accident. “We also do not make any further announcements about the victim’s medical condition,” the police write.
Around 3 p.m., the man fell at the “Do Your Own Stunt” attraction, reported Broadcasting Gelderland. In this part, a person is secured in a harness and then makes a free fall from a high platform, the regional broadcaster writes. What exactly went wrong is being investigated. The relevant attraction will no longer be used at the festival.
