New heat record in Catalonia. The Darnius-Boadella reservoir (Alt Empordà) registered 45.0 ºC this noon. A value that far exceeds the 43.8 ºC reached in Alcarràs in June 2019. This is not an isolated event, since thermometers have skyrocketed in the Girona regions, as well as in Ponent, Central Catalonia and the Prepyrenees.
In fact, this Tuesday the thermometers in large areas have registered values above 40ºC. Anglès (44.2ºC), Navata (44.2ºC), La Bisbal d’Empordà (43.8ºC), Santa Coloma de Farners (43.6ºC), Banyoles (43.5ºC), Cabanes (43.3ºC) and Òdena (43ºC).
