4:3! Again the polar bears get lucky

What a playoff thriller! And the polar bears can celebrate their first victory in the semi-final series.

At 10:28 p.m. Manuel Wiederer (25) shoots in overtime (74th) in front of 9418 fans in the MB Arena for the polar bears to win 4:3 against the Mannheimer Adler. The series continues on Friday.

The polar bears start again with Leo Pföderl (29). And he gets the first penalty right away. Mannheim’s Dawes has to go and the Berliners use their power play to make it 1-0 through Fiore (8′). The master then on the trigger. The 2-0 (12th) through Jonas Müller (26) was a well-deserved reward. The defender’s third playoff goal.

The polar bears with more pressure. But then two stupid penalties. When twice outnumbered (Wissmann, Streu) the eagles managed to get back the goal (18th) – only 2:1. Here’s the first break. In the middle third, the Mannheimers initially the better team. Bast uses a mistake in the polar bears’ defense to make it 2: 2 (23rd).

An amazingly offensive duel with weaknesses in both defenses. Yannick Veilleux (28) completes a very nice attack via Wiederer with the 3:2 (34th). But in the final section, Wohlgemuth managed to equalize again (47th). Bad gang check by Rendulic (59th) against Veilleux, who has to leave injured. The polar bears outnumbered them for five minutes (!). Bring nothing.

But then, in extra time, Wiederer scored the winning goal.
