The Santa Fe SME 420 CBD Premium became the first national company to export a cosmetic based on CBD cannabidiol with high Argentine added value. On their second anniversary, they announce that in one month they will complete the first complete line of safe, legal and over-the-counter cannabis cosmetics in the country.
In December 2022, the Rosario company obtained admission from ANMAT to freely market 420 CBD Relax, a concentrated cannabidiol CBD oil. During 2023, the firm grew by having a powerful business plan, based on participation in the main national events, strategic alliances throughout the country, with wholesale distributors and building loyalty in marketing channels. In this context the first steps towards export began.
Due to the work with Droguería Garzón, the company with which the cosmetic line is distributed, to meetings with national, provincial and local official organizations, they managed to get the green light for this first sale abroad. Lautaro Gieco, CEO and founder of 420 CBD Premium, explained: “It is the first shipment of Argentine CBD-based cosmetic products with high added value abroad. We sent to Barcelona, to the company Medcan, the first Spanish legal clinic providing guidance and information on medical treatments with medicinal cannabis.”
The export began to take shape in mid-2023, after it was learned that in Argentina there are CBD-based products that meet the most demanding quality standards, added to the degree of innovation of some of its products. Then they received different calls and negotiations with strategic allies from countries such as Peru, Colombia, Uruguay, Chile, Spain, Italy and Turkey. “These negotiations are still ongoing and we have expectations to advance in 2024,” said Gerónimo Gieco, CEO of the Rosario firm.
