4-year-old toddler dies after accident with electric quad

The child’s parents had rented a small quad on the sea wall. But things went wrong on Saturday around 1 p.m. The child lost control of the steering wheel near Zeeheldenplein. He had a bad fall and was seriously injured. He was taken to a hospital in Ghent where he underwent surgery. But his condition remained critical and he has now died from his injuries.
