4 police officers suspended, investigation into ‘cross-border behaviour’

Four police officers from the Zeeland West Brabant unit have been suspended, and an investigation is being conducted into cross-border behaviour. Colleagues of the four reported careless use of means of violence and other undesirable behaviour.

On February 2, the first two police officers were suspended. The investigation into this led to the suspension of two other employees on 25 February. These four work for the Zeeland West Brabant police unit. Colleagues told managers, confidants and corporate social workers, among other things, that they were careless with the use of means of violence.

The investigation is still ongoing and, according to the police, will “take quite some time”. “It seems that this highly undesirable situation has lasted for a long time and has mainly concentrated within one team area,” the police writes.

For privacy reasons, the police do not write where exactly the four worked.
