Düsseldorf LFDY are the new German champions in 3×3 basketball. They prevailed against Flingern in an internal duel.
In the final on Saturday (June 25th, 2022) LFDY Flingern barely gave Flingern a chance at 19:11. Above all, the new champions took the best shooter of the tournament to date, Jessika Schiffer, completely out of the game.
Flinger with too many errors
From the start, the favorites were ahead of the city rivals in the final. Halfway through the season, LFDY had a five-point lead. Flingern, who had previously played well in the semi-finals, made too many simple mistakes – they committed some unnecessary fouls and reached the limit too early where there were free throws for the opponents.
The final decision came about 50 seconds before the end: Jennifer Crowder sank a throw and got two free throws. LFDY pulled away to eight points – and the players smiled.
