SV Wehen Wiesbaden had to admit defeat to MSV Duisburg in front of their home crowd. The Hessians missed the jump to relegation rank three.
SV Wehen Wiesbaden lost to MSV Duisburg on Friday evening in the third division. The Ruhrpottklub won 3:1 (0:0) in front of 3,500 spectators. An own goal by Bjarke Jacobsen (54th) and Joker Kolja Pusch (56th) provided the double blow. Johannes Wurtz’s connection (63′) came too late, Moritz Stoppelkamp decided the game (89′).
MSV with double strike after the break
The away win was deserved overall. MSV had good chances in the first round through Aziz Bouhaddouz (28’/35′) and Moritz Stoppelkamp (29′). The SVWW found no key against the massive defense of the guests.
In the second round, the MSV rewarded itself within a very short time. First, an unsuccessful clarification action by Jacobsen landed in his own net (54th). Just two minutes later, Pusch prevailed. Arthur Lyska was able to deflect the joker’s shot well into the crossbar, but the player stayed in action and headed in (56′).
SVWW misses the jump to third place
The SVWW responded quickly. After a long throw-in, Wurtz was free in the backcourt and completed precisely (63′). But Wehen Wiesbaden didn’t succeed enough and a cross from Stoppelkamp landed in the far corner (89′). As a result, the Hessians missed the jump to third place and are fourth with 24 points before the Saturday games.
