SpVgg Bayreuth celebrates an unexpected point win against Dynamo Dresden. Nevertheless, Upper Franconia slipped to the bottom of the table.
the Game Association Bayreuth sends the next sign of life in the relegation battle of the 3rd league. The “Oldschdod” scored against Dynamo Dresden on the 10th matchday and withstood the constant pressure of the favorites, especially in the second round.
Aue gives “Red Lantern” to Bayreuth
Annoying, however, for Upper Franconia: Because the previous bottom of the table, Erzgebirge Aue, surprisingly won 3-0 against SV Meppen, Bayreuth is now bottom of the table with the same number of points because of the worse goal difference. The third from bottom, Borussia Dortmund II, unexpectedly scored a point against TSV 1860 Munich and is two points ahead of Aue and Bayreuth.
Well deserved point for Bayreuth
The SpVgg Bayreuth can definitely book the 1:1 in the “performance-based” category. In the first round, the old town were even clearly the better team. But that changed after the restart, Dynamo took control of the game. Due to the two completely different halves, a draw that should be okay for both teams.
However, Bayreuth can take the point win like a win. Because the team of coach Thomas Kleine has shown that it can keep up with the big teams in the 3rd division.
