3rd league: Reddemann to VfB Lübeck – SC Verl brings Benger from Holstein Kiel

Two transfers in the 3rd division

VfB Lübeck strengthens the center of defense with Sören Reddemann. The 27-year-old comes on a free transfer from Halleschen FC, for whom he played 26 games last season. Reddemann signed a contract with the third division promoted until 2025.

“We are happy that we can further strengthen our central defense with Sören. With him we gain a defender who is strong in the air and in tackles, who also has good speed and a strong build-up play. In recent years he has regularly demonstrated his qualities in the 3rd division with several clubs. We are absolutely convinced that he will quickly find his way in our team and will help us to achieve our goals,” said sporting director Sebastian Harms.

SC Verl signs Benger from Holstein Kiel

The future league competitor SC Verl has meanwhile strengthened in central midfield. Marcel Benger is moving from second division club Holstein Kiel to Ostwestfalen. The 24-year-old did not make a professional appearance for KSV last season, and in two years there have been a total of ten.

“We have been interested in Marcel for a long time and are happy that it finally worked out. He is a thinker and leader on the pitch, robust and looks for a playful solution even in pressure situations. He is able to structure a game and take control of the game. In terms of character, Marcel also fits in very well with our team and with Verl,” explained sporting director Sebastian Lange.
