Striker Mathias Fetsch almost single-handedly shot SpVgg Unterhaching to a home win against Rot-Weiss Essen. The man of the evening scored four times for coach Marc Unterberger’s team.
SpVgg Unterhaching continues to feel right at home in league three. Coach Marc Unterberger’s team took their third win of the season against Rot-Weiss Essen. The man of the evening at the Hachinger Sportpark was four-packer Mathias Fetsch.
Fetsch’s double head ensures comfort Half-time lead
The hosts started the game well and had their first good opportunity through Simon Skarlatidis, which turned out to be a triple chance. First Skarlatidis failed with his foot to Essen keeper Jakob Golz. He then parried Patrick Hobsch’s header before Skarlatidis shot again, but Golz failed again (12′). A little later, Rot-Weiss Essen also appeared dangerous in front of the goal, but Haching keeper Rene Vollath parried Marvin Obuz’s shot from the backcourt (16th).
And then Mathias Fetsch’s show should begin. The striker first scored after a corner from Skarlatidis (28th). Then Fetsch was there again with a header in stoppage time and sensitively nodded a cross from the right into the far corner (45th + 2).
Maier and Fetsch use Essener Lack of concentration
The guest opened the second half in the person of Lucas Brumme, who shot just past the right of the post (56′). Just a few seconds later, the man of the evening scored his hat-trick – but this time not with his head. After losing the ball in defense, Sebastian Maier Fetsch scored the third goal. He just had to push in from close range (57′).
The encounter was thus decided. Essen defended itself at times with a shot from Leonardo Vonic (72′), but was unable to counter it. Instead, Fetsch also scored his fourth goal. After Welzmüller’s free kick, he scored from close range to make the final score 4-0 (89′).
