Double Huth wakes up the Hallesche FC
Hallesche FC had the great opportunity to increase the gap to the relegation places to a comfortable ten points with a win. But the Berliners, who had been badly battered recently, got into the game much better. Viktoria attacked early, so the HFC didn’t come into play and also made many technical mistakes. There weren’t really any great chances, so Halle’s keeper Tim Schreiber had to help involuntarily in the 31st minute. The young goalkeeper was unable to hold onto a harmless ball from Martin Gambos, Yinji Yamada thanked him and threw in from close range.
It got restless in the stadium, but then Elias Huth came. In the 35th minute he was served in an exemplary manner by Niklas Kreuzer from the right and headed into the right corner to equalise. Five minutes later, a cross pass from Wosz found the HFC striker, who completed the shot from eight yards into the left corner. The final phase compensated for the previously weak half hour, the HFC was adopted with much applause in the dressing room.
HFC superior – late decision
After the change, Halle continued where they left off before the break. The HFC created many chances, but the hosts failed again and again due to the strong keeper Julian Krahl. HFC goalkeeper Schreiber hardly had to intervene at the back, Enis Küc missed his best chance after almost an hour when he dribbled free-standing. Overall, however, Halle was clearly the better team and rewarded themselves late. In stoppage time, Philipp Zulechner hit the ball low into the right corner from 13 meters. Then Michael Eberwein scored a real dream goal. From 16 meters he flicked the ball into the corner.
