Dynamo Dresden got their ninth home win in a row against a passionate Halleschen FC. The Elbestadt team turned the game around after a weak half and set a record.
The SGD played a first half to forget. But shortly before the break, Dynamo equalized against HFC and turned the game to 2:1 (1:1) in the second half in front of 29,159 spectators. Nine home wins in a row, there have never been so many in a row at the Rudolf Harbig Stadium.
Baumann puts Halle in front
Markus Beginning switched offensively. Panagiotis Vlachodimos and Dennis Borkowski came on for the ailing Niklas Hauptmann and Jakob Lemmer. Tom Zimmerschied plays more centrally than usual. Sreto Ristic also made two changes: Nico Hug and Meris Skenderovic stayed out, Andor Bolyki and Lucas Halangk came on. And the latter had the first action of the game. After Dynamo lost the ball, right-back Dominic Baumann was sent on, who played Tobias Kraulich and slotted past Stefan Drljaca into the goal (7th minute). No undeserved leadership for self-sacrificing, strong-running guests from Saxony-Anhalt. Dynamo couldn’t find its way into the game and seemed frustrated by well-stocked Halle players. They had a great chance to score the second goal just before the break: Tunay Deniz sent Bolyki, who found his master twice in Drljaca.
Kutsche and Co. were only rarely able to prevail against Halle in the first round.
Borkowski equalizes out of nowhere
In the last action before the half-time whistle, Dynamo turned the game on its head. The otherwise strong Halangk placed Zimmerschied centrally in front of the penalty area. Paul Will took the free kick and tried it directly – the shot got stuck in the wall and came back to Will, who delicately chipped it to Stefan Kutschke. Sven Müller parried his header strongly, but right at the feet of Borkowski, who equalized from close range. So we went into the locker room with a lucky draw from Dresden’s perspective.
Dennis Borkowski scored the lucky equalizer for SGD shortly before half-time.
Of all people, Zimmerschied
Dynamo started the second half with a broad chest, narrowed down Halle and took on the duels. In the 51st minute, Jakob Lewald marched down the right sideline and crossed to the incoming Tom Zimmerschied, who then nodded in his first goal for the SGD. Against his former club of all places.
Borkowski could have increased the score in the 64th, but was denied by Müller from 18 meters. In the final phase, Halle threw everything forward, but after the intense first half, the Saalestadt team was visibly lacking in air. And when things got a bit tricky, the confident Drljaca was there to hold the ball. Dresden gets its ninth home win in a row – a club record. Halle has still been without a win abroad since April.
