Türkgücü Munich has to deal with the next setback in the relegation battle. In the home game against 1. FC Saarbrücken, there was a heavy 1:5 defeat. After the 14th defeat of the season and the 11 point deduction, staying up in the league is a long way off. The distance to 16th place is twelve points.
Türkgücü takes the lead early
On Monday evening there was no indication of this gossip for a long time. Türkgücü came into play well, dominated the early phase and rewarded himself: Nico Gorzel drove the ball forward on the right wing and sent a sharp ball in front of the visitors’ penalty area. The ball lands in a central position on the edge of the penalty area with Sinan Karweina via Tim Rieder. Saarbrücken turns the game with a double whammy

Shortly thereafter, Jacob was involved again. He extended a ball to Jalen Hawkins, who took off directly. Türkgücü captain Alexander Sorge got a foot to the shot, but the ball bounced unluckily from his instep to the crossbar and from there just behind the line.
Saarbrücken comes out of the break stronger
But Türkgücü didn’t give up, continued to play offensively – and scored. However, Sorge’s goal in the 33rd minute only caused a brief jubilation. Paterson Chato touched the ball from a clear offside position. So it remained at the 1:2 deficit at the break.
Saarbrücken then came out better at half-time. The guests now combined well, pushed Türkgücü in the back, had chances – and were finally successful. The game was decided ten minutes after the restart. It was another brace that catapulted the game out of Türkgücü’s reach.
Türkgücü eventually breaks apart
After a nice move, Julian Günther-Schmidt made it 3-1 for the guests with a powerful long-range shot (53′). Just two minutes later, Jacob increased to 4:1. The home team had nothing to oppose after that, surrendered to their fate on the field. Justin Steinkötter made it 5:1 in the 74th minute and Türkgücü could finally be happy that this result stayed the same – although the team had shown a good game for one half.
