At the end of the 20th matchday of the 3rd division, TSV 1860 Munich suffered a setback in the battle for promotion. Coach Michael Köllner’s team lost at home to Dynamo Dresden.
Slowly but surely, TSV 1860 Munich are losing their heads in the fight for promotion. Coach Michael Köllner’s team suffered the next serious setback at the start of the second half of the season. Despite Albion Vrenezi’s early opener, they lost 2-1 to Dynamo Dresden.
Early lion leadership
The hosts made a powerful start in front of 15,000 spectators in the Grünwalder Stadion and were rewarded after just five minutes with the opening goal: Albion Vrenezi shone with a solo run through the center, which he completed from the edge of the penalty area into the lower right corner, which is well worth seeing. As the game went on, the guests from Saxony got into the game better and better, but were unable to create any clear chances until the half-time whistle.
1:1 by Kutschke
The lions came out of the dressing room well again after the break. Dynamo managed to equalize out of nowhere in the 56th minute: after a long ball, Verlaat and Tim Rieder collided in midfield. Although Rieder remained on the ground and the Sixty defenders raised their arms, the game continued. Dresden’s Ahmet Arslan used the space on the right corner of the penalty area and found the incoming Kutschke with his pass, who headed in from six meters into the left corner.
Dynamo spins the game
Twenty minutes later, the Köllner team received a blow: the guests turned the game around through Dennis Borkowski. Substitute Marcel Bär missed a great chance to equalize after a corner from Vrenezi in the 85th minute.
Even the last gasp brought nothing. TSV 1860 Munich lost in the duel between the traditional clubs and is in danger of missing the return to the 2nd division that was announced as a goal for the season.
