Ex-1860 professional
FC Viktoria 1889 Berlin has strengthened again shortly before the end of the transfer. As the third division announced on Tuesday, Martin Gambos joins the sky blue. The midfielder was most recently active in his Slovakian homeland for the first division club ViOn Zlate Moravce-Vrable, for whom he has played 16 games this season.
“Martin is very talented, has an outstanding positional play and can bring a good balance into a game. He was allowed to play in Slovakia in the first division and also gained international experience. I am convinced that Martin fits our profile very well and will quickly understand our game idea. He looks very smart. I’m happy that he will strengthen our midfield,” said coach Benedetto Muzzicato.
Gambos, who came to Germany at the age of twelve and made the leap into professional business at 1860 Munich, added: “Because of my past at 1860 Munich, I have always followed the 3rd division. As a newcomer to the league, Viktoria Berlin also made a positive impression on me. I see the club as a good place to develop myself. I am very happy about this chance to play football in Germany again. So far I’ve had a great welcome, everyone is trying to help me get started in the new city. I want to play as many games as possible this season and help the team to be as high up in the table as possible.”
