A 37-year-old man was seriously injured in a robbery in Mariendorf. Two men are said to have sprayed him with tear gas one after the other on Monday morning in front of an apartment building, the police said today. They then allegedly held him to the ground and beat him with a baton. They then dragged the man into an elevator in the hallway of the building and stole his cell phone and front door key. The officers, alerted by neighbors, arrested one of the two suspects. The name of the second alleged perpetrator is now known, it said. The 37-year-old was taken to the hospital with head and neck injuries.
