Third Euro game, third victory! The handball foxes show their fighting qualities. Despite the mega hospital, travel stress and frustration in the final at the Club World Cup (32:34 against Magdeburg), the tired Berliners defeated Dinamo Bucharest 33:30 (16:11).

After the international match week and the Super Globe, the Foxes haven’t been home for 14 days. Less than 30 hours after the players got off the plane, the foxes have to go full throttle again.

Nobody seems to mind being tired in front of 4,913 fans. Keeper Dejan Milosavljev (27) parries his balls with extra papi power. Before the game, the Serb picked up his wife Marina from the Charité. Because while the Foxes were playing at the Club World Cup, she gave birth to her daughter Ruza. Finally Milosavljev was able to hug both of them.

Milosavljev gives the Foxes the support they need (14 saves) against the Romanians, who sports director Stefan Kretzschmar (50) even counts as the “co-favorite for the Euro title”.

Shocking moment in the 23rd minute: Playmaker Nils Lichtlein (21) is badly knocked to the ground on the shoulder by Robert Militaru, but can continue in the second half.

In the end, the best thrower was Tim Freihöfer (10 hits).

The tired foxes have to get back on the bus on Saturday. On Sunday the Bundesliga banger takes place in Kiel (2:05 p.m./Dyn).
