The public prosecutor’s office in Berlin has brought charges against a 34-year-old after kilos of drugs, a large amount of cash and various weapons were found in his apartment.

As the public prosecutor announced, on May 31, together with the police, they followed up an anonymous tip that weapons had been traded from an apartment in Treptow.

According to the public prosecutor, the search found around 150 grams of cocaine in the bedroom and 22,000 euros in cash in the bedside table, which may have been proceeds from drug sales.

According to the public prosecutor’s office, 34 packages with a total of around 33 kilograms of heroin were also found in the basement belonging to the apartment. Several firearms and ammunition were also found within reach. The man does not have a gun license.

When the police arrived, the 34-year-old is said to have tried to climb out of a window. Police officers stationed there as a precaution were able to prevent the escape. An arrest warrant was issued for the man on the same day, and he has been in Moabit Prison ever since.
