30 years of “It’s A Shame About Ray”: The Lemonheads go on an anniversary tour

The Lemonheads’ fifth album It’s A Shame About Ray celebrates its 30th anniversary this year. The American indie band around Evan Dando takes this as an opportunity to go on tour. There will also be a new release of the album.

The European tour is scheduled to start in Hamburg on April 28th. In April and May The Lemonheads will play further concerts in Germany, among others in Bremen, Berlin and Erlangen.

To celebrate the album’s 30th anniversary, Dando also announced the release of a limited reissue. Included with the edition is a CD of previously unreleased material, such as a version of “My Drug Buddy” starring Juliana Hatfield from the KCRW session, and B-sides of “It’s A Shame About Ray” and “Confetti.” Track from the EP “Mrs. Robinson/Being Round”, as well as demo versions. The anniversary edition is also available on vinyl and is scheduled for release on March 4th. here you can pre-order the album.
