30 years in prison for double homicide
After his sudden confessions, Mohammad Taqi Musawi (24) was found guilty on Monday of the murders of Nessar Jamshidi (18) and Youlia Soboleva (19).
At the start of the closing hearing, the Attorney General first considered the seriousness of the facts. “No matter how soft, how mild, how severe the punishment may be, it will never bring back Nessar or Youlia. The suffering and damage remain. the rest of their lives.”
The prosecution noted that a sentence should have a dissuasive effect on the accused, so that he can think about his actions in jail. “You need to think deeply about how you feel about women in general. Because that’s not good. You’re a purebred clinging stalker and you can’t stand rejection.” This dissuasive effect is also necessary for the rest of society. “We will not tolerate such a massacre.”
Cool Killer
Musawi was already described by the OM on Monday as a cool killer. “I mean that sincerely. How cool must you be to get that key out of his pocket after stabbing Nessar.” Malefason also branded the accused a liar. “I don’t need to draw a picture. He’s been spitting right in your face all week until yesterday, spitting right in the face of the police.” According to the court psychiatrist, Musawi also lacks empathy. “For 4.5 years you’ve been yelling and ranting that Nessar was a murderer. Is that victim empathy?”
During the opening hearing, the public prosecutor strongly questioned the sudden confessions of the accused. “Was it regret? No, it was shame for his mother and his family. That’s the first thing that came out. But shame isn’t regret. Regret only counts for me if it’s borne by genuine repentance. Otherwise it’s self-pity. ” According to the OM, Musawi simply tried to save the furniture, faced with numerous evidences.
Finally, it was explained why many classic extenuating circumstances do not apply to the accused. After a conviction for degrading treatment, for example, he no longer has a clean criminal record. His behavior in prison was also not spotless, which led to a conviction for drug possession. Subsequently, the accused’s parasitic lifestyle was also targeted.
The public prosecutor had demanded life imprisonment and ten years of TBS.
