The SC Verl won in the 3rd league in its own stadium against Alemannia Aachen. The winning goal fell shortly before the end of the game.
A lot of struggle, a lot of passion and the happier end: The SC Verl team developed a happy 2: 1 (0: 0) success against Alemannia Aachen at the last minute. The Lucky Punch for the East Westphalia in the stadium on Poststraße in Verl succeeded in the last minute (89th).
The team of coach Tobias Strobl (9 points) with the second victory in a row in the upper midfield of the 3. League firmly. “You could see, we really wanted it. That makes me really satisfied and happy,” said Strobl.
Good phases, no reward
For the Aachener, this unfortunate defeat means a bitter setback in the fight for relegation. The Aachen coach Benedetto Muzzicato team has to find their way into the lower table regions with just four points after six games.
“We are in a very difficult phase because we show good performance and do not reward ourselves. In the end, after four defeats, this is not enough of all of us on six match days,” said Aachen coach Muzzicato.
Slippery lawn
The Verler went to this game ambitiously and very passionately. The Verl-coach Strobl team hardly gave the Aachenern time to breathe, put the opponent under permanently under pressure.
The East Westphalia tried to enforce themselves according to their frequent balls, but the slippery lawn – it rained in the first round at times – hardly ever allowed a successful combination game. After 16 minutes, however, the hosts had the great chance to achieve the lead.
Steczyk with the leadership opportunity
Joshua Eze sent Dominik Steczyk on the trip with a remarkable plug -on pass from the center line. The attacker skilfully played Alemannia goalkeeper Jan Olschowsky, but Aachen captain Sasa Strujic was able to steer his somewhat too slow shot from ten meters.
The Aacheners, who were getting better and better into play, had a hard time developing chances. Over a few good, but ultimately ineffective approaches, they did not get out in the first half.
Surprising tour
Right at the beginning of the second half, Aachen’s Lars Gindorf had a header chance, but SCV goalkeeper Philipp Schulze was on hand and parried. The game remained intense, but not very high. Many, too fast ball losses, shaped the picture. The protagonists hardly even showed any remarkable combinations.
And suddenly the hosts that had been very reserved until then had the next big chance for the lead. Aachen Felix Meyer met Timur Gayret’s ankle in the sixteen, referee Leonida’s exuzidi did not hesitate and pointed to the penalty point. Verl attacker Berkan Taz converted to 1-0 (60th).
Aachen with the equalization, Verl with the Lucky Punch
The Muzzicato team was not unsettled by it and struck back only ten minutes later. Substitute Kwasi Wriedt prevails near the baseline against Dennis Waidner and suited the unusual Lars Gindorf, who had no trouble from five meters, to complete the deserved 1-1 compensation.
After that, both teams tried to force the decisive campaign to win – and the hosts actually managed to score the second goal. After a confusing punch in the penalty area, the ball shot strongly for the much acclaimed 2-1 final score from a short distance.
