For the 33rd time, 3 Uurkes Vurraf is the traditional start of carnival, an anniversary year in carnival land. Due to the corona measures, this will be celebrated again with a ‘digital edition’, without an audience. Friday 25 February from three o’clock everyone can enjoy the kick-off of the carnival in Brabant from their own decorated living room. small fish!
No carnival without 3 Hour Fire. A tradition that Omroep Brabant honors with great pleasure. Presenter Jordy Graat again receives a large number of carnival artists, including Lamme Frans, Johnny Purple, Dirty Jack, Peter Selie and De Deurzakkers. Did you miss 3 Hour Vurraf? The broadcast will be repeated at a quarter to eight.
Experience 3 Hours as a VIP
3 Uurkes Vurraf comes from a carnivalesque location in the center of Eindhoven. There is no audience in the room during the broadcast. But that audience is online, in their own living room. During 3 Uurkes Vurraf, live connections are made to these living rooms. These VIP guests can be seen on a large video screen on stage during the broadcast.
Anyone can register for a chance to win a VIP ticket and secure a spot on the video screen. The winners will also receive a real carnival party package. You can register up to and including Friday 11 February via www.omroepbrabant.nl/carnaval.
Beautiful and cozy carnival
Omroep Brabant considers it important that the measures are complied with. “But we also think that people from Brabant deserve a nice and cozy carnival,” says Renzo Veenstra, editor-in-chief of Omroep Brabant. “That’s why we looked for alternatives. We found it in the form of a digital edition of 3 Uurkes Vurraf, which was a great success last year,” says Veenstra.
Kleinfisjenie Café live
Not only 3 Uurkes Vurraf is live on TV. From Saturday 26 February to Tuesday 1 March there is the Kleinfisjenie Café every evening at a quarter to eight. Jordy Graat and Christel de Laat take the viewers along on a parade of carnival memories, legendary moments, carnival loves, carnival music and above all lots of fun.
Carnival celebrators at home play an important role in this by sending in messages or hilarious videos on social media. The program lasts until half past nine.

Especially in this corona time, Omroep Brabant wants to embrace, hold and cherish the feeling of carnival. Also this year, carnival will be a small fish at Omroep Brabant! Of course we do this within the applicable corona measures. Omroep Brabant asks carnival celebrants who participate in our activities to take these rules into account.
