Fortuna presented the new strategic orientation last April and, thanks to the support of new sponsors, in the long term intends to offer stadium visits for all home games free of charge. “We have listened a lot over the past few weeks and taken into account criticism and ideas from many fans. We are very pleased to be able to take off and take the next step with the pilot phase,” said Fortuna CEO Alexander Jobst.

When selecting the games, the opponents were based on attractiveness and tradition. In addition, care was taken to ensure that there was enough time between the individual free spins in order to have the opportunity to improve processes and address criticisms. In addition, such a game should take place every third of the season. The procedure was coordinated with the DFL and an agreement was reached that no game should be offered with free entry on the last four match days. The club wants to provide information in good time about the exact procedure for the application.
