Tietz with fair action
The fans saw an extremely lively game in which Phillip Tietz almost created a very special moment in the 19th minute: The Darmstadt midfielder started a solo in the center circle, passed three opponents at once and only failed when the Paderborn keeper rushed out Jannik Huth. To be fair, he had avoided a fall in the penalty area – SCP defender Jannis Heuer had clearly hit his foot.
The reward came in the form of the 2-0: After Matthias Bader’s right cross, Pfeiffer put his foot down in the center and hit the far corner (25′). For Paderborn, who only played along well, it now threatened to become bitter. In the 37th minute, Dietz was again unstoppable. After putting a header on Pfeiffer, he tied his brace to make it 3-0.
