After the break, KSC came onto the pitch with a different attitude and Philipp Hofmann provided the flattering lead with the first shot on goal (54′).
A blow to the neck for Aue, which was then unable to recover from it. Because a little later, Marvin Wanitzek’s second KSC shot on goal slammed the ball into Philipp Klewin’s goal (67′), who had once again been given preference over regular keeper Martin Männel by coach Dotchev. With 37 points, KSC remains in ninth place in the table and is basically sure of staying up. For Erzgebirge Aue, on the other hand, the prospect of a rescue is dimming – with 19 points, the violets are in penultimate place. There are currently eight points on relegation place 16. There is still a catch-up game to come: FC Erzgebirge will play at Hamburger SV on April 5th.
