29-year-old Egmonder arrested in investigation into the death of Peter Langenberg from Alkmaar

A 29-year-old man from Egmond has been arrested in the investigation into the death of Peter Langenberg (56) from Alkmaar, who was found dead on Sunday in the dunes near the beach of Egmond aan Zee. His role is still under investigation by the police. He is currently incarcerated and not allowed to have contact with anyone.

After last Tuesday’s broadcast of Opsporing Verzocht, there were ten tips within that could lead to the cause of the death of the Alkmaarder. The police broadcast CCTV footage of Langenberg’s last hours on the bus to the beach.

‘Men’s meeting place’

His naked body was found around 3:30 p.m. on Easter Sunday near a “men’s meeting place” in the dunes. His clothes, bag and knee brace have not been found. His phone was handed over to a local bookstore.

Police also called on those who found the phone to come forward. It is not clear whether this has already happened. Tips and information about his clothing, bag and knee brace are still welcome from the police.
