Participation of deaf people in elections
The CNSE, State Confederation of Deaf People, has expressed its satisfaction with the participation of deaf citizens in the polling stations scheduled for the regional and municipal elections on May 28. A total of 18 deaf people, 6 as regulars and 12 as substitutes, have so far exercised their right to request sign language interpreters during said day. By provinces, 2 correspond to Alicante, 4 to Madrid, and the remaining 12 to Almería (1), Asturias (1), Ciudad Real (1), Guipúzcoa (1), Guadalajara (1), Jaén (1), Navarra (1), Malaga (1), Murcia (1), Palencia (1), Valladolid (1) and Zaragoza (1).
