26 new markets: Nicowa internationalizes its own online shop

Women’s fashion retailer Nicowa Europe GmbH is driving international expansion by expanding its e-commerce presence. On Monday, the Munich-based company announced that its online shop will now also be available in 26 foreign markets. So far, the range was limited to Germany. The countries that have now been added include France, Italy, Spain, Austria, Switzerland and the Benelux countries, Nicowa said.

Managing Director Michaela Gleixner explained the expansion step: “Now that we have successfully reached our customers digitally in Germany, we can now also serve the international demand for our collections digitally,” she explained in a statement. “In addition, we can now also support the international markets with our extensive online marketing measures and increase our desirability in the countries.”

E-commerce already plays an important role in Nicowa’s sales strategy: According to the brand, the brand sells its products “primarily digitally via its own online shop and marketplace partners such as Zalando, Otto and About You”. In addition, “world’s leading fashion houses” would also be supplied. The clothing supplier has already announced an important addition to the range for the coming autumn: the label’s first collection of shoes and accessories is then to come onto the market.
