Two attorney letters to Kanye West were released on Tuesday (October 18). In one of the letters, the rapper is being sued for $250 million in damages. The other is an injunction, because the rapper should no longer comment on George Floyd and his cause of death.
Letter #1
“George Floyd’s daughter is from kanye West’s comments are traumatizing and he creates an unsafe and unhealthy environment for her,” the attorney is quoted as saying in the lawsuit.

Letter #2
In the injunctive relief states: West, his attorneys, employees, partners and representatives are no longer to speak publicly about George Floyd, his property, his family and the circumstances of his death. This includes any kind of statement, be it as a post, video, audio file or similar. The reason for this is the “wicked,” “inaccurate and unfounded” statements of the rapper.
background of the lawsuit
Kanye West offered a theory about the cause of George Floyd’s death during an Oct. 16 interview on the Drink Champs podcast. In the podcast he talks about Candace Owens’ documentary “The Greatest Lie Ever Sold: George Floyd and the Rise of BLM”. And then says about George Floyd’s death: “They injected him with fentanyl. If you look closely, the guy’s (Derek Chauvin) knee wasn’t even on his (George Floyd’s) neck.”
On the same day, Floyd’s family lawyer announced an upcoming lawsuit. The three-hour podcast episode has been taken offline from the official channels.
