The man from Hoorn who is suspected of deliberately hitting a 14-year-old boy last Sunday will be detained for two weeks longer. That will be announced by the court. The argument between the two started after throwing ginger nuts, an eyewitness said earlier against NH News.
The boy from Hoorn was hit first and then the victim was kicked, among other things. The woman, who saw the incident at Gerrit Achterberghof/Maasweg in Hoorn, saw the boy hit on the sidewalk.
“I saw him fly through the air and he landed on the hood of the car. Then he got two more kicks. The moment my friend got out and started shouting, the man fled. I think he was shocked. Then I quickly called 911.”
According to a boy who was with the victim, an incident with gingerbread cookies was the reason for the violent event. “They threw gingerbread cookies at the man’s car at a supermarket and she apparently chased him afterwards.” But the police could not confirm that. Not much later after the collision, the 25-year-old man was arrested.
The witness was very frightened. “You also think, what would have happened if we had come a minute later?” The police is investigating the case.
