22-year-old Middelburger arrested for fatal shooting Goes | NOW

A 22-year-old man from Middelburg has been arrested on suspicion of involvement in the fatal shooting in Goes on 27 January. 24-year-old Onur Baglan was killed.

Baglan was shot in a parking lot on Geldeloozepad in Goes and rushed to hospital. He subsequently succumbed to his injuries. An argument preceded the shooting, presumably over scattered photos showing women.

A Team Large-Scale Investigation (TGO) attacked the case and that led to the arrest of a 24-year-old Middelburger on February 10, who is still in custody.

Last week, the Public Prosecution Service announced that a second suspect was in the picture. This 22-year-old Middelburger could not be arrested because he was staying abroad. After his return to the Netherlands, he was requested by the police to report to Breda, the home base of the criminal investigation team. De Middelburger reported on Wednesday evening and was immediately handcuffed.
