On August 27, 21-year-old Tanya Pardazi undertook her first-ever solo jump. Just before that, the TikTokster, who had more than 95,000 followers, had completed the necessary skydiving lessons at Skydive Toronto. But it still went wrong during that first jump. According to the organization, she opened her parachute too late during her jump. Pardazi, who in the past participated in Miss Canada, was taken to hospital, but did not survive the accident.
“She was so brave,” Kimia Sepanlou, a friend of Pardazi, told CTV News Toronto. “Every time we saw her, we knew we had an adventure ahead of us. She didn’t like to be bored. Everyone who met her loved her.” Her friend Melody Ozgoli also said: “Tanya was interested in everything new and adventurous. Life was too boring for her, and she always tried to do something adventurous. She loved every second.”
