Berliners in late summer mood! Instead of bad weather and autumn coats, every ray of sunshine was enjoyed in a T-shirt at a warm 21 degrees on Saturday.
Many went to the water for a cold beer, some even dared to go to the Schlachtensee at a water temperature of 14 degrees.
According to the German Weather Service (DWD), it will be even warmer on Sunday with up to 23 degrees.
In southern Brandenburg even highs of around 24 degrees are expected!
Temperatures around twelve degrees would actually be normal for the end of October.
“It’s going to be the warmest October on record. The weather is clearly too warm for this time,” says Marcel Schmid (35) from the DWD.
A change in the weather is expected in the coming week, but with values between 15 and 20 degrees it will still be above average for November.
