Match tickets of the 2022 FIFA World Cup to be hosted by Qatar are on sale today.
In the statement made by FIFA, it was stated that football fans who want to follow the World Cup matches to be held this year on site can apply for tickets as of 13.00 CEST.
In addition to the host Qatar, Germany, Denmark, Brazil, France, Belgium, Croatia, Spain, Serbia, England, Switzerland, Netherlands and Argentina are guaranteed to participate in the tournament, and match ticket prices will be on sale for 950 liras (70 dollars).
Qatari citizens, on the other hand, will be able to buy match tickets with prices starting from 150 lira (11 dollars) due to the host quota.
Applications for the first semester ticket sales will end on February 8. The winners of the draw to be held among the applicant supporters will be announced on 8 March.
FIFA is expected to generate $500 million in revenue from accommodation rights and ticket sales.
The 2022 FIFA World Cup will be held from 21 November to 18 December.
