20 years after first application: construction of wind turbines along E403 started

The construction of the turbines was quite a challenge. The first applications date from 20 years ago, but there was protest from the municipalities of Zedelgem and Oostkamp and from the neighbourhood. Several companies also fought for the coveted piece of land. Green power company Aspiravi now has the permit in its pocket, and says it will take all strict standards into account.
