The fire brigade received the report around 10:40 p.m., says a spokesperson for the safety region. The fire started in one of the flats on the two floors above a shop on the ground floor. The fire spread to neighboring homes. The evacuated residents are accommodated in a café in the immediate vicinity. The fire is now under control.
Two people were slightly injured in the fire, one of whom was taken to hospital as a precaution. The police have arrested one of the residents of the building in question on suspicion of possible involvement in the fire, the security region and the police say. The suspect is in custody for further investigation and interrogation, the police reported via X.
It is not yet clear how many buildings are affected.
