They started operating in 1995, it was a family company with Argentine capital and today, almost 30 years later, JASFLY not only continues to offer aeronautical services of the highest level, but has also added a special interest in the development of national technology at the service of the industry. With its base of operations in the City of La Plata, Province of Buenos Aires, with its own heliport that allows the necessary flexibility for the deployment of its operations and a workshop for its own and third-party maintenance services, the company has extended more there its aeronautical services and executive transfers, designing and developing flight simulators.
“The idea of going beyond the levels of operational safety and efficiency of the company far beyond the levels required by the ANAC, decided us to build a Fly Training Device (FTD) that represents the Bell helicopter with high fidelity. 407. Thus, on June 14, together with ANAC, we achieved official certification as the first Bell 407 Helicopter flight simulator produced entirely in Argentina. It is certified as FTD level 5 and work is being done to gradually obtain level 7, which is the highest level of certification. The predisposition and collaboration of ANAC was decisive in achieving this project, which took two years of work and the dedication of a multidisciplinary team of more than 15 people, in addition to the integration of different companies”, recalls Gabriel Alejandro Ciezar, Commercial Manager and of Air Operations.
– What was it that led the company to enter the world of simulators?
The development of the FTD began in mid-2020 when, due to the COVID 19 pandemic and travel restrictions, we had problems with the simulator training of our crews, which was carried out abroad.

– Are you already working on a second FTD?
Yes, based on the knowledge acquired during the project, the collaboration of the Faculty of Aeronautical Engineering of the National University of La Plata, the National Directorate of Operational Safety and the continuous assessment and assessment of the ANAC, we have decided, and have already We are developing a new FTD simulator for the Bell 412, with the improvements derived from the Bell 407 FTD.
