Housing costs rise fastest in Beesel
Homeowners from the municipality of Beesel will spend considerably more on housing costs this year than in 2021. The increase of 15.6 percent is the highest in Limburg. Housing costs are rising in all Limburg municipalities, with the exception of Mook and Middelaar. Read more here.
Collection campaign against senseless violence after Guus’s death
Catering establishments and shopkeepers in Horst aan de Maas are participating in a fundraising campaign against senseless violence after the death of Guus Janssen from Horst. The remaining coins from the Hôrster Carnival Parade can be donated in collection boxes. The money raised with this will be donated to the National Foundation against Senseless Violence. Bus ends up on track from A73
The bus driver was injured this morning. He left the road with his vehicle on the A73 and eventually ended up on the track at Swalmen. As a result, trains could not run for hours between Swalmen and Roermond. Read more here.
Ukrainian family helped with Limburg help
A Ukrainian family that was stranded by car on the A67 near Asten during the flight before the war, can continue their journey thanks to Limburg help. The man, woman and their two children were allowed to Broadcasting Brabant spend the night in a hotel in Venray, while the broken car was repaired in a garage in Ysselsteyn. Read more here.
