Stu Paramount+ he arrives 1923new piece of Yellowstone branded Taylor Sheridan starring Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren, as the new members of the Dutton family. Or rather, of a new generation of Duttons, grappling with prohibition, drought and epidemics of the early twentieth century.

1923: the plot
The series is the second prequel to Yellowstone which comes later 1883 (always on Paramount+). Sheridan builds a new one family history captained by patriarch Jacob (Harrison Ford) and his wife Cara (Helen Mirren). The King and Queen of the Ranch Yellowstone. Together they will have to face a period of profound changes and evolutions that afflict the American West. We are at dawn of the Prohibition era and in a time when droughts and epidemics decimate thousands of head of cattlechanging the concept of breeding (between 1923 and 1925 over 70 thousand landowners went bankrupt).
Sheridan digs into the roots of its early 20th century America preparing us for what it is known as Great Depression of 1929. Not only that, it also tells us about intrigues and of capitalisminnovation and tradition, continuing in the footsteps of the original Yellowstone (1923 in fact it echoes the series with Kevin Costner and the vicissitudes of his John Dutton III.) And family relationships: Jacob and Cara raise John and Spencer, sons of James and Margaret (protagonists of 1883).

The main actors of 1923, two bigwigs, are the strong point of the series. They find themselves acting together 36 years after Mosquito Coast by Peter Weir from 1986. Also in the film, which brought together the director and actor of Witness – the witnessplay husband and wife.
Ford is Allie Foxan anti-capitalist man who with his wife (Mirren) and four children (including a very young River Phoenix) they leave New York for the Mosquito Coast, between Panama and Guatemala, in search of freedom and a world that would listen to them.
The saga of Yellowstone does not end with 1883 And 1923
The universe of Yellowstone does not stop at 1923. From March 1 comes the fifth season of the original series with Kevin Costner and also two are in preparation spin off: the first, also expected in 2023, is entitled 6666 and will be set in the present day in Four Sixes Ranchwhich we have already heard about in the third and fourth seasons of Yellowstone.

1883: The Bass Reeves Story is the title of the second spin-off that will focus on the title character, or a man of the law (David Oyelowo), born a slave and then fled during the Civil War to Native American territories, where he learns native languages before being freed with the passage of the XIII Amendment of 1865.
Ten years later Reeves was enlisted by US Marshal James F. Fagan and assigned to the Indian territories, precisely for his knowledge of the places.
