19-year-old Enkhuizer Claude has megahit with ‘Ladada’ (Mon Dernier Mot)

The 19-year-old Claude has had two busy weeks: his song Ladada (Mon Dernier Mot) is slowly but surely growing into a mega hit. De Enkhuizer will remain with both feet on the ground for the time being. Despite the fact that his musical career is starting to take off, he is still studying and working in the catering industry in Enkhuizen, he tells WEEFF radio.

He has already been compared to Stromae, although Claude hopes that at some point he will also get his own stamp. “I think it’s a great compliment that people compare me to Stromae, but in the end you want your own sound. So it’s still a compliment for now, but in the end I hope I just become Claude.”

Claude already took a shot at the spotlights in The Voice Kids in 2019, but then did not get further than the battles. They must be disappointed, because his song Ladada (Mon Dernier Mot) is played gray on the radio. The song is so well received that he paid a visit to Radio 538 this afternoon for a live performance, and will soon also be able to visit Qmusic.

Two producers

The song was created with help from the label Claude signed to, Cloud 9 Music. “I was thrown into the studio with the two great producers Arno Krabman & Joren van der Voort, and they had put together beats. I had to get used to it, because normally I sing quieter music, but I wanted to try it anyway. the song became a kind of middle finger to your ex, that you get on with your life yourself.”

It takes some getting used to for Claude to hear his own song on the radio, but fortunately he is far from tired of Ladada (Mon Dernier Mot). In any case, next week he will be a top favorite on WEEFF radio, so his record will be played every hour.

On Thursday, Claude can be seen in a report by Culture Club.
