18-year-old under the influence crashes car in Zwevegem

The young driver from Mouscron got away unscathed, but had to surrender her driver’s license. A breath test showed she had too much alcohol in her blood.

The accident happened around 8 p.m. on Bellegemstraat in Zwevegem. At a narrowing of the road, the young woman crashed into a concrete traffic controller, after which she lost control of her car. Her car ended up in the side of a stationary vehicle via a lighting pole. The damage to the two cars is irreparable and three surrounding cars also suffered damage due to broken fragments. There were debris on the street and there were oil stains that the fire brigade cleaned up.
