17,000 drug packages sent, man arrested for drug trafficking on the dark web

The police arrested a 37-year-old man from Oss on Wednesday morning, who is suspected of large-scale international drug trafficking. He is said to have traded soft and hard drugs for almost 1 million euros via the dark web. In total, more than 17,000 drug packages were sent via a German postal company. The police there had been looking for the man for some time.

In addition to the Ossenaar, two other Dutch people were arrested. One of them is a 58-year-old man from Dongen. It is not yet known what his role in the drug trade was. All suspects will be handed over to justice in Germany.

On Wednesday morning, the police raided several houses, including that of the man from Oss. Thousands of euros in cash, a firearm, 55 liters of amphetamine oil and a kilo of speed were found during those actions. Several cars were also seized.
